The Dominion is a gracious master-planned country club community composed of approximately 1500 acres located in the fastest growing northwest quadrant of San Antonio. The land itself has a unique history, once being owned by Anson Jones, the last president of the Republic of Texas. At the turn of the century it was purchased by the family of Adolph Toepperwein. Adolph and his wife Elizabeth shared a reputation as the greatest sharp shooting team in history and still hold a place in the Guinness’ Book of Records.
A safe family environment is made possible by two 24 hour and one 12 hour manned and gated security stations which are further enhanced by professional guards conducting round-the-clock mobile patrols. Fire and EMS protection is provided by the city and located directly across the Interstate from the entrance.
The, approximately 1,500 homes of The Dominion are as diverse as their owners. Approximately 2,767 people live in The Dominion making it one of the largest Homeowner Association managed communities in Texas. Many local and national celebrities choose to call The Dominion home.

With its classic Renaissance architecture and its distinctive roofline of majestic domes and gold-leafed cupolas, The Dominion clubhouse exudes an Old World aura that is enhanced by courtyards, cantera stone columns and arched f1oor-to-ceiling windows that provide spectacular views of the surrounding Hill Country landscape.
Seven separate dining areas insure Dominion members a complete and delightful variety of dining experiences ranging from gourmet cuisine to regional favorites. Dominion fare is carefully prepared and tastefully served by an experienced staff specially selected for service at The Dominion Country Club.
A gourmet dining room provides continental dining in a formal atmosphere where Dominion members can treat themselves to fine cuisine and elegant service. A Mixed Grille serves excellent but more traditional fare in a less formal atmosphere.
The Dominion’s elaborate Wine Room, which houses one of the finest collections of vintage wines in the nation, also offers gourmet dining in a private setting. Private dining can be arranged in the club’s library/conference rooms which are complete with fireplaces and are ideal for business gatherings and personal meetings. Members can even view the latest stock exchange reports on private screens.
Members can also enjoy the products of The Dominion’s exquisite kitchens in both indoor and outdoor terrace areas serving light fare and regional favorites. A 19th Hole restaurant and bar in the men’s locker room provides casual dining before and after a good game of golf or a brisk workout.
The clubhouse also includes a separate piano bar and lounge where members can relax in a comfortable setting. Elaborate locker room facilities cater to the member’s every need.
